Gender and Sexuality Are Separate One thing to establish at the outset: gender and sexual attraction are separate. Gender is who you are, whether you feel you are a man, a woman, something in between, or neither one. Sexual attraction refers to who you are attracted to. These exist on entirely separate axes and are completely independent from one another. You can be FTM (female to male) transgender, and be attracted to men, women, both, or neither.
