First NBA Championship (2012) James spent the first seven seasons of his NBA career with the Cleveland Cavaliers. During his time in Cleveland, he led the Cavs to their appearance in the NBA Finals in 2007. After losing to the San Antonio Spurs four games to none, James developed a hunger to return to the championship game and claim his place alongside the league’s champions. He got his chance for redemption in his second season playing for the Miami Heat in 2012. James led the way in a showdown against the Oklahoma City Thunder, averaging 28.6 points a game, to win the first of his three championship trophies.
