She received seven Grammy nominations for the album and won six, which was the most number of wins by a female artist at the time. It sold 482,000 copies its the first week of sales, eventually topping the Billboard 200 Chart. It has sold over 16 million copies worldwide. Lead singles from the album, If I Were a Boy and Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It) , were extremely well-received. In fact, Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It) is the most-often streamed video on Beyoncé’s YouTube channel. Collaborations Video Phone , featuring Lady Gaga 4 (Released June 24, 2011) Beyoncé’s fourth album, aptly titled 4, was her attempt to get R&B back on the radio. She had this to say about her motivation and hopes for writing the album: “Everything sounds the same on the radio. With 4, I tried to mix R&B from the ’70s and the ’90s with rock ‘n’ roll and a lot of horns to create something new and exciting. I wanted musical changes, bridges, vibrata, live instrumentation, and classic songwriting.”
