J.J. WATT’S NFL CAREER Justin James (“J.J.”) Watt was born March 22, 1989, in Waukesha, WI, (north of Milwaukee, the state’s largest city) to Connie and John Watt. Watt is part of a NFL player dynasty , with brothers Derek (Fullback, Los Angeles Chargers) and Trent Jordan—“T.J.”—(Outside Linebacker, Pittsburgh Steelers) also playing in the league. Watt is one of the most dynamic defensive players to come into the league in a long time. He played two years for the University of Wisconsin (after transferring from Central Michigan University) where he established himself as a preeminent pass rusher. Watt was selected in the first round of the 2011 NFL draft by the Houston Texans with the 11th pick overall and immediately began to establish himself as a force of nature.
