If the pain mes- sage doesn’t get through the body’s network of nerves, the body doesn’t feel pain. These drugs do not get rid of the condition that causes pain. They don’t make the body heal faster, and they don’t fight germs. They only make the condition hurt less. No one likes to be in pain! But when painkillers are abused, they can be very dangerous. They have a very scary downside!
