Hits His 100th Career Home Run The hits kept coming for Yelich in 2019. Part of his more than 1,000 career MLB hits include 131 career home runs, 72 of which came while wearing his Milwaukee uniform. Facing division foes Chicago Cubs in an early-season April matchup, Yelich drove the first pitch of pitcher Kyle Hendricks 408 feet (124.4 m) over the right centerfield fence for a two-run home run. The runs were enough to lead the Brew Crew to a 4–2 victory. The home run marked the 100th home run in his young career. In the 2019 season, Yelich would go on to become just the 10th MLB player to ever hit at least 40 home runs and steal at least 30 bases in a season.

He hit his 100th career home run, and his first in a Milwaukee Brewers’ uniform, in game 3 of a series against division rival , Chicago Cubs.
