Scored 20,000 points in his career As a member of the Golden State Warriors, Durant achieved yet another scoring milestone by reaching 20,000 points scored in a career. This occurred in a game on January 10, 2018, against the Los Angeles Clippers. Durant scored 40 points on 14-for-18 shooting in a 125–106 loss. The 40-point effort, however, added his name to the list of players who have scored at least 20,000 points. He jumped ahead of Kobe Bryant by nineteen days as the second-youngest player to accomplish this.

Durant becomes the second-youngest player at age twenty-nine (the youngest being LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers) to score 20,000 points for his career in a January 10, 2018, game against the Los Angeles Clippers.
