Greatest Moments DURANT’S NBA CAREER It didn’t take long for Kevin Durant to establish himself as one of the greats in the game today. Drafted with the second pick overall by the then Seattle Supersonics (now, the Oklahoma City Thunder) in the 2007 NBA draft, he has risen to claim a place among the very best players, such as LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Stephen Curry, and James Harden. Durant has won two NBA (National Basketball Association) championships, been named Rookie of the Year and Player of the Year, and has seen action in nine straight All-Star games. He joined the 20,000-points-scored club in the 2017–2018 season. Durant has played alongside several other great players including former Oklahoma City teammates Russell Westbrook and James Harden, as well as Stephen Curry as a member of the Golden State Warriors.
