A Deadly Relationship

D eborah Evangelista Brandão was born in 1990 in Brazil. News outlets stated that she was born and grew up in the Brazilian state of Maranhão, in the country’s Northeast Region. While not much is known about her early life and childhood, Brandão and her two sisters, Silvia Brandão and Sarah Brandão, reportedly grew up together in that area of Brazil. The three sisters were especially close with each other, maintaining a tight-knit relationship throughout the years. They were nearly inseparable, with Sarah Brandão even going as far as to describe herself and Deborah as best friends who spent their days together. Eventually, Sarah Brandão would move to the United States, settling in Chester County, Pennsylvania. While in Brazil, Brandão gave birth to two children, a son and a daughter, who are ages six and nine, respectively, as of 2024. Despite the family’s circumstances, Brandão worked hard to give her children a good life in Brazil. However, Brandão would eventually decide to take her family and move away from Brazil, leaving behind her sister,
