Aside from President Bill Clinton, what politicians pushed for its passage? How did it impact crime in the United States? 2. Research any gun ban that took place in a major American city, and write a report on your findings. What were the provisions of the law? What was the impact of the ban in terms of gun crime and violent crime? 3. Research any proposed gun-crime solution not addressed in this chapter. What are the details of the solution, and what evidence suggests that it can work to reduce gun crime? What politicians and/or advocacy groups support it? What are the counterarguments put forward by its opponents?
